We all know that the function of our liver is as vital as the rest of our organs. But how well do we actually look after it? Most of us think: “Oh, one more of those delicious biscuits filled with preservatives and sugar isn’t going to harm my liver.” And you’d be right, if it was just one more.
But, one more leads to one more, and one more leads to just one more, then just one more becomes ohm, just one more isn’t going to kill me. And you’d probably be right, but what damage you are doing will eventually take it’s toll.
That is why every once in a while, you need to detox so you can give your liver a break from all those nasty preservatives. I would like to share with you a delicious juice recipe that will give your liver and kidney a good flush out.
The Liver And Kidney Flush
6 small apples
10 small Beets
A Bunch of Celery
A Handful Of Spinach
The above recipe will make approximately 2 litres, so keep your Liver and Kidney Flush in a pitcher and consume over two to three days.
For best results use the cleanse accordingly
- Keep juice refrigerated and drink every 4 hours for just 8 hours. And every meal will consist of just juice, except for your dinner. But I would recommend eating a dinner that will be easy on your liver.
- Drink a cup of water every 30 minutes and avoid alcohol and caffeine.
- The last meal you eat should consist of the following: Grilled or Baked Lean Protein and Fresh Green Vegetables. Avoid foods that are starchy or processed.
- Finish the day with some delicious chamomile tea with some freshly squeezed lemon.
Using this cleanse will keep your liver in tip-top shape.
